Our Classes
Intro To Acting (waitlist)
This 6 week class gives an overview of acting for complete beginners. From basic improv, script analysis, commercial technique, and scene study, each week covers technique fundamentals for a variety of acting styles. *Prerequisite for Scene Study 1. Acceptance by interview only, no audition required. Schedule your interview HERE.
Scene Study 1 (waitlist)
This class is for students wanting to dive deep into the fundamentals of scene work. Using the best of many different acting techniques, students in this class will begin to put together their technical process and strengthen their acting skills. The class runs in 12-week cycles with a student-for-student private showcase on week 12. Graduation to Level 2 is by instructor discretion, most students spend 6 to 18 months in this class before moving up. Acceptance is by audition or upon completion of the Intro to Acting Course. Scene Study 2 (waitlist)
This class is for intermediate students wanting to continue building their technical foundations in intensive scene work. Students in this class will continue building their technical process and work towards expanding their range. This class runs in 12-week cycles with a public showcase on week 12. Students at this level are expected to be working towards getting professional representation, their SAG card, and their first professional credits. Graduation to the Actor's Workshop is by instructor discretion and upon getting the above-referenced professional systems in place. Actors with professional credits who wish to step back and solidify their technical process may be referred to this class for that purpose. Students may spend 12 to 36 months in this class depending on individual factors. Acceptance is by audition or upon graduation from Scene Study 1. Schedule your interview HERE.
Actor's Workshop (registration open )
The Actor's Workshop is for professional working actors and serves as a gym to keep technical skills refreshed and sharp, work on pushing boundaries into new character work, experiment with changing their current casting niche, and expand their network of other actors, writers, and directors. This class is ongoing and billed monthly. This class is closed to the public and there are no showcases. Members from the other classes at V3 are allowed to audit. The first hour of the class is relaxation, and a refresh of an exercise from a rotating variety of techniques, followed by 3 hours of scene work. Intro To Writing (waitlist)
This 6 week class gives an overview of screenwriting for complete beginners. From basic formatting, story structure, genre, dialogue, action, and voice, each week covers technique fundamentals for a variety of writing styles. *Prerequisite for Screenwriting 1. Each week, students will be required to write a minimum of 2-3 pages. Acceptance by interview only, no writing sample required. Schedule your interview HERE.
Screenwriting 1 (waitlist)
This class is for students wanting to dive deep into the fundamentals of screenplay writing. Students in this class will begin to put together their technical process and strengthen their writing skills. The class runs in 12-week cycles with a student-for-student private showcase table read on week 12. Graduation to Level 2 is by instructor discretion, most students spend 6 to 18 months in this class before moving up. Each week, students will be required to write a minimum of 5-10 pages. Screenwriting 2 (waitlist)
This class is for students aspiring to professionally pursue screenplay writing. Students in this class will begin to put together a full-length feature or pilot script and strengthen their writing skills. The class runs in 12-week cycles with a student-for-student public table read on week 12. Graduation to Writer's Lab is by instructor's discretion, most students spend 12 to 36 months in this class before moving up. Each week, students will be required to write a minimum of 10-15 pages. Writer's Lab (waitlist)
The Writer's Lab is for pre-professional and professional writers and serves as an accountability tool to keep technical skills refreshed and sharp, work on building a strong set of writing samples, pursue representation and/or professional opportunities, and expand their community of other writers. This class is ongoing and billed monthly. This class is closed to the public and there are no showcases. Acceptance is via a writing sample or upon graduation from Screenwriting 2. Each week, members are expected to write a minimum of 10-15 pages. Schedule your interview HERE.
Producing - Short Film (opens mid-July)
This self-paced digital course is presented in 5 modules and provides all the necessary steps, guidance, and information to professionally produce a SAG short film. From script development, hiring talent, contracts, union paperwork, post-production, film festivals, and distribution, this course contains everything needed to not just produce a short film, but be hired as a producer for other short film projects.
Producing Microbudget Features (Coming Soon)
This self-paced digital course is presented in 5 modules and provides all the necessary steps, guidance, and information to professionally produce a SAG microbudget film. From script development, hiring talent, contracts, union paperwork, post-production, film festivals, and distribution, this course contains everything needed to not just produce a short film, but be hired as a producer for other microbudget film projects.
